Okay, I know the pose I'm going with, just have to decide if she's on a horse or not. ( A Lamprey horse now by the way.) Merlin was trapped in a tree by the Lady in some tales, so tried a few forest scenes.

I think R is the one, where she is most focused and in S I really like the combination of her and the horse. Great dynamics there 😄
Probably prefer S a bit more, bc the horse looks so interesting.

I agree with @prinzmoana R is a great pose for the character as an action shot and S is cool with the horse idea.

In R the Lamprey looks more like a enemy than a companion though. That might help with your decision, if its supposed to be an ally?

I like R too, it’s the more dynamic of the bunch. The horse design is cool though, if you choose to keep it, maybe push it’s pose a bit more extreme?

I like 3 clothing/armour but the hair being the same or very close to the colour of the skin blends into it to much and I think you loose the face. Maybe a darker grey would work, could pull the yellow from the belt or possible the red hair like 6 has.

Not sure if this is somehting that will be part of your design but if the characters has been living under water for so long maybe she has water based life growing on her or has decolourised metals of her armour. Just a thought I had.

@br00dley Thanks for the feedback. I was going to add barnacles and things at a later stage and the orangey armour variants were meant to be rust. My original idea was an albino (white, red eyes to match the flag) but I soon realised it would need other colours or she would just look like she walked out of a Sin City comic.

Plumped for a composition then ( 5 ) :

Those are swarms of mystical swords around her, and she's riding on some waves.

Made her gauntlet chunkier for more asymmetry.

@prinzmoana Yes I'm aiming to keep some dark colours, at least behind her for contrast. Might put some brighter bits in the foreground, depends how it goes.

this looks very dinamic and full of motion, that hmmm horse-like creature is horrible in a good way and the whole image is super interesting, I feel like I want to see what happens next in the story! great job.

Sidenote: I have seen you provide very accurate and positive feedback on many posts from several participants and that speaks a lot of your camaradey.

Ohhhh so she's inside a wave😲 Dude this is fantastic! The colors and dynamic are on point and I love the idea of opponents getting carried away by the wave.

This is already on a very good way, the only little flaw I might fix, is the left leg. It's melting a bit with the fabric of the horse and I'm not sure if the lower leg is too long in comparison to the upper leg...🤔 I don't know😅
Anyways keep up the great work🔥

making some great progress here. I think the upper arm is a little bit to long due to the shoulder being placed a little too low, I think the shoulder needs to be a little higher and that would fix the extra lenght in the arm. maybe jeje. You are on the right path

Yikes, this thing is taking ages. Fixed the arm as best I can (moved the shoulder as suggested by @gabs-fg) see what it looks like tomorrow with fresh eyes. Arm is probably still a touch too long, but I really want that monster weapon to clear her head.
