Went for some simple shapes and a quick colour pass over the sketch. I'm liking this direction and will develop this hulking bruiser as my Tongan Champion, a Polynesian Beast with super strength and the ability to throw bursts of flames. His mana flows through his tatatau (tattoo) given to him by a Master Tufuga (artist) whose techniques in traditional tattooing give the wearer special abilities unique to each individual.
