I decided to choose Greece to create my character because i love their mythology and i think this can help my to achieve the idea i want to do.

A little selection of images i'm using for my character.
I based my entry in a greek mythology character, the driade, which is knowed as a female related to the nature. So i decided to blend the character with one of the products from greece, the olive, and make a blend between a female and a tree.
I'm not entirely sure but I think there is a legend about a woman turning into a tree in greek mythology! If I remember correctly it was about Daphne who was running from Apollo and begged the earth to save her, so she was turned into a tree. I know it's a bit of a different concept from your but maybe it will help or spark another idea? Anyway, lots of luck! Can't wait to see more of this.

Start sketching.
For the moment im trying to keep the initial idea i had, so i've added some branches to her head to make their look like olive crown.
And for her face i added some roots to help the idea about the blending between the female and the tree.
