Here's a small and quick back story / lore:
Vajra is the elemental of the storm. Followed by her two sisters, she travel through the world trying to keep peace between nations.
In this world, magic is a powerful ability.
Everyone can use it, and the only limit, is our own mana.
But one creature can use the mana from living beings: The elemental.
This ability allow an almost infinite source of mana.
However, this ability is a double-edged blade.
The mana possesses his user feelings:
hatred and love, fear and trust, anger and joy
and the more an elemental use this mana, the more he dives inside these feelings.
All elemental died, drowned in their madness.
Vajra is the last of them since her power and madness are sealed by her two half elemental sisters: Soma, the water witch and Agni, the Fire witch.
Half elemental can switch from human to elemental form.
A worldwide sect of black mages has been looking for this infinite source of mana from the dawn of time: Endless.
Endless finally found a way to create an artificial elemental by kidnapping Soma and Agni and using their cells.
But, under this overwhelming power and feelings, the artificial Vajra named Vritra went berserk.
Vritra destroyed Endless, and has now one goal: Become the last elemental.
Her electromagnetic ability allow her to control hundred of thousand cyborgs.
The war has begun, and no one can stop it now.
Not before there is only one elemental left.

I like this one, but it remind me an armor I saw in a game or a manga, and I can't find out where I saw it..
