I think I am finally able to draw the basic haed shape fast and accurate enough.
The next step is to master the face features ^^

The first assignment of the anatomy part of term 2 I wont post, because it is an exercice you can allways do and there is no special goal to it.

Hope you don't mind but I did a little draw over on your assignment. I think you've got the major forms down but I noticed a few things that could help you out.

You have the bottom plane of the nose bulging out a bit to much. It's mostly flat with just a bit of a bulge.

With elf ears or any kind of pointed ear I've noticed that stretching out that "y" shape helps the ear look more believable. And some of your ears looked a bit flat. Try tracing over the different forms of the ear like with the anatomy in the first assignment. I've done that before to just really get a better idea of how the form turns and overlaps.

You've made a good start, keep at it!

Thank you verry much. These little tips helped a lot. especially that one with the ear is good to know ^^

I do the tracing over the forms on photos before but not enough I think. I tend to go forward to fast.

meanwhile I did the mouth. as standalone they felt a bit weird but on an existing head shape it was easy to do.

the proportions feel a little incorrect. but I will do a new head with all features at once, if I finished the single ones. maybe then it works better

I finished the first head.

like I sayd I will do one or more other ones till I am happy with it because tis one is not that good.

I had some problems with the eyes. on the head the eyes fitted good but alone they was verry flat. also I draw them too big I think.

An other Problem is my shadeing/blending. The Values are either too soft or hard. Thats why I need more practice in that.

Hi! I think that the main issue that the head might be a lack of volume. It seems like the features such as the eyes and mouth are sitting on a flat surface, while the face curves a bit so the features should show that. Also the eyes are spheres themselves, so the form of the eyelids and shading should reflect that more and it will help them not look as flat.

Also, would recommend being a bit bolder with your shadow by making them with harder edges. I feel like it's easier to map out the volumes this way and I also feel it's easier to go from hard edges to soft than the opposite.

I hope this helps a bit!

I took a bit of practice and think I improved a lot. of course it is still not perfekt and there is a lot to improve. But I think I have a proper understanding of the face now.

I could have rendered the face more but I think just for learning this is not that important. I think its more efficient to do more faces than a few in good rendered quallity.

I think from now one it is just a matter of practice to get better. so I will frequently do some faces but move forward to the next assingments.

I did the first assingment of the perspective 2 part

The Idea was to Create a Dwarfen Gate in front of a mountain. I took several aproaches but it was always to distorded so i changed it to match the video for the assingment. but with the time I got a bit faster in construction ^^

here are some of the 2nd exercise of the perspective 2 term. these are the 3p pespective ones. A skyscraper, a shield and a castle.
on the castle I tried to sculpt the details out without doing lines to the vanishing points to make it a bit harder. I just started from a Box. so there a many faults. but for a first "free handed" try I am happy with it ^^

Next is 4p Perspective

these are the 4p perspective exercises. A building, a Ring and a sword.

I guess Buildings are the best thing for this pespective type ^^
And it is hard to fit a Font in the grid

Now to the the Perspective person to finish term 2

So I finished Term 2. This one was way more complex than the 1st and took a lot more time ^^

But now I have an basic understanding of volumes, head anatomy, pespective etc. which I can now train further.

At the 4p Perspective assingment I did first the flat body to refresh my knowledge and to use it as refference.

After that I followed the Video and created the "perspectivied" body. after that I adjusted the size of the head. I left it on basic anatomy, because I do not have looked into detailed body anatomy yet.

After that I took the upper part and created the last one. An warrior inspired by the Lord of the Rings rohirim. The light comes from behind and the Idea was to look up and seeing a dangerous looking person. I just took the upper part because it looked better than all together. Also I did not include complex shadeing or colours because I also do not have much knowledge of that yet.

There is the first part of the 3D assignments. It was my first time to work in 3D ^^

Now I did the Bust and finished the Zbrush assignments. At the begining it was a bit frustrateing because I lost my progres 2 times. One time I saved the file wrong and the second time my program crashed without auto save.

But overall it was fun. I still like Painting more than sculpting but some experience in 3D can not be wrong ^^

The Idea was an Old battlescared Orc and it turns out pritty well I think

There are my Torso Anatomy Skelettons. I did not spend that much time to these. Mostly I did drawovers to figure out where the muscles lie. Also I will do more polished skelettons when I know arms and legs too.
