I like the direction you are going with this design. It reminds me of dark souls but so far the overall design of the armor and character has potential to be very menacing. Great work so far and I look forward to seeing where you go with it.

I'm curious how the character design will looks like at the end. The sketch is incredible, I like those kind of rough sketches. Also the composition looks great so far.

When I saw your first sketch I thought to myself - here is the one who could stand against armies of the darkness gathering here! Now... I think he could do the same... to get rid of competition . Awesome work so far!
