In every epic battle scene I always identify most with the foot soldiers. In reality I know that in that would I would be one of those foot soldiers. I always look at them and wonder their story, what led them to this battle etc. I decided to draw the bard character. The seemingly small, weak character that slips through the cracks and ends up making a big impact.
A bit of bravery, no matter how small, can go a long way in defending the light.
A small sketch to start it off. I want to create a sense of a scared character doing something brave. Maybe felling a huge, dark creature.
