Alrighty ! finished with her and the hawk! woo! Now time to create the front side back drawings and the Illustration

phew! : ) Getting more and more done with the character design for a final render piece. I decided to go with this pose! : ) How do you like it?

So I did a ton of back and forth in regards to her Weapon. Last night it kinda came to me, that Native Americans were also very big on working with Bow and Arrow. The upgraded version of that would be a crossbow. So i gave her one

I wanted it to open and close, so the actual muscle groups would be what opens and closes (if she still had her arm eh)

It did kinda solve two problems, since her Silhouette and Back View (If this was a Game Character, this would be important) was boring too. yay, solved! phew!

I've done some back and forth with her clothing layers. I still cant decide what she should wear underneath her potion belts. Before adding those I drew some steampunk-ish Tomahawk weapons and i do dig the idea of the upper one- that it can unfold itself. But on her Design, i think a knife would be better.
Also added some more hidden leg-pockets Can't all be potion stuff eh do need some space for dried meat, nuts, berries and seeds i guess The thing on the side is going to be a water pouch. Since she is on the go almost the entire time, she needs that as well

Facepaint ftw. Also, first patch on clothes for the turnaround . I'm not sure about the clothing, but oh well :T gotta go find more references....

My Idea so far is a native american Hero, female, and she has a mechanical Pet Falcon same as her missing arm,- which is now mechanical too
The Arm has a slot for Potions, which help her in close combat fighting- such as poison effect or lighting!
I'll also add a weapon, probably a Tomahawk but i'm still thinking on the design hmm!

Really great design so far, and wonderful sketches! I like the largest one in the pic you posted (although the feel feel a bit long & large.) Great costume details and nice design on that arm especially. Looking forward to seeing her mechanical Falcon. Good luck with it, and have fun!

Yes i tend to draw big feet, i dont know why, but i kinda like it? Haha.
I want to go for the style from Fable Legends- which they tend to have bigger feet or hands.

Really nice! I like the colors!
Maybe try to just one touch of a bright color, like they did for the characters on Horizon Zero Down, the palette is very similar of yours but with a touch of blue and it makes all the difference. I hope this can help, but if you feel like it doesn't work you don't have to do it of course

@rgdraw ohh i will add a blue rim light on the right side because her arm will have a bright blue glow field (that long thingy in the middle on her mechanical arm ) Im just going to do that closer to the end Im currently still in doing the more rough colors as can be seen (Missing tons of details like the bottles, clothing patterns etc)

Nice start on the colors, and nice final design. I don't know if this is working towards your final image but the pose is stiff. Both arms are perfectly straight, which in real life you have to consciously work at. The mechanical arm feels especially lifeless... well, of course, it IS lifeless, it's a mechanical arm! But having it in a more natural pose would give the entire character more personality and make it feel like a more natural extension of her body as opposed to a piece of hardware strapped to her upper arm and hanging straight down lifelessly.
Anyhow, great start on the costume and personality. Are you going to incorporate some of the war-paint you concepted earlier? It was cool. Good luck with the rest!

Very cool studies! The
last piece with the colours is looking very good, maybe some fix on the mechanical
arm, it’s too stiff.

Hey folks! I tried to fix it by adding a slight tilt to the lower part of the technical arm. I hope that makes it better! @mdashow @grafik

But since I don't have too much time left i cannot restart from the beginning to make a completely new pose. Plus I do like those sort of "presentation" poses...

I hope it's still likeable even tho the pose seems too stiff Im adding more and more Details and hopefully will be done soon! Also... the falcon... Still got the Illustration to take a go at as well D: eep!

So I personally do not have 40 days More like a week of time i can commit and then I need to focus on other work (That actually pays some bills ;D)

Lucky you, I wish I had more work that paid bills! I have entirely too much time on my hands for the Art War!
As for the pose, the slight bend on the arm helps slightly. It might help even more if we weren't seeing her mechanical hand straight on as thought it were an orthographic view. As you're pressed for time, you could try working on giving the hand a more natural pose and more bend at the wrist and more of a rotation and angle, and I think that could cover it. But Good luck with both the freelance work and this!

Your idea of combining both mechanical and Native American clothing, and it works really well. The mechanical falcon is a great addition to your character. Love it!

Started the front back (and also still missing side views) for the turn around
I dont think ill fully color it, but well see. For now it will be in greyscales. :3

If I continue to be this slow.. i wont ever manage to finish (or start) the illustration HRGH!
At least I added the full turn around. I know I only need the front & back, but im using this whole project as a Portfolio piece as well- and its necessary to show i guess (for 3D artist) that i am capable of doing a full turn around. Plus its actually a lot of fun!... Also will add the missing Arm in the Side view separately on the Image later, as soon as i actually managed to clean the sketch up some more haha

I kinda wonna add more of the technical stuff on her, maybe some sort of head armory. Maybe as a bonus and if i have the time, ill come up with something!
