Here I am with the first rough, quick sketches of my champion Ryder.
The idea of some giant chainsaw-sword-riding dude was messing with my head for some time now, thought it would be the best opportunity to make this idea a reality at this contest - some pros were always saying that crazy, exaggerated ideas often turn out to be the best ones, and I will add just more to him later.
Basically, I've done those just to get whole idea on the paper, my next step will be to draw a portrait of him (I'm planning to do a lot of supportive art, like making different concepts of his face, armor, overall theme, weapon(s)?, pets(yep there will be some) etc., and only after that I'm gonna start making two final pieces of art (Concept and Final Illustration). IDK if that's allowed or not, but that whole process is essential for me to make this work perfect (or at least as good as I can), so I'm gonna take those chances of getting disqualified.
About overall theme, I have some idea of post-apocalyptic and fantasy mix for this character, or sci-fi/cyberpunk and fantasy mix, tbh its hard for me to pick it in my mind, so I will start trying out different themes for this character (I have mixes in mind, cause contrast of themes is attractive and interesting, even tho its hard to make it work right).
I have exams for the rest of the month (which sux), so don't expect much from me before 28.01.2018 (date of the last exam). But I will still use free time for this work.
PLEASE give me constructive criticism, it is very welcome. (even tho there is not much to criticize yet xD).
