TY for your attention, good sir! Im still poking around themes and looks for him, this is just one of 10 fresh ideas for his outfit/theme. After that Im gonna do few for his left demonic arm, and then, I will do tons for his weapons, after dat Im gonna piece everything together in final concept art, and finally gonna do a splash art. Oh well... I'M BACK!
And free from exams, finally! Now I can actually concentrate on this work!
Here are 10 sketches of his outfit (theme), that is going to be final, and I will pick one of those out to flesh it out in even more details! Since he has a giant chainsaw sword, that weights like 10+ tons, I figured that he probably needs less complicated metal on his torso and arms for better control and moving more freely.
Thats why I have marked those variants, that I liked the most, but Im curious to see suggestions of other skilled people! So I will let this hang in here for some time, and keep myself busy by making sketches of the other stuff (like his face, demonic left arm, his sword).

I will make sure to keep myself busy for all the free time I have during holydays (until 12.02.2018).

Im starving for your critiques and suggestions!

I really like how 8 looks, but if you think of going more on a junkyard demon side I think 6 would be outstanding for that.

I think 8 is a good choice. Nice and clean and not overboard. 2 is similarly nice. On 4 the arm seems a bit overdone, but the rest is clean and works. I think the whole I've-got-a-tree-branch-for-an-arm thing could work if you make that you're main theme, but it seems at odds with the post apocalyptic vibe, not to mention the idea of a chainsaw as a weapon.

Too many variants for choosing, but I like 4 and 5 most of all.

You can also combine some elements, textures and cool details from other variants to add them to the main image. (for example, the holes from v2 add to 5th; the thorns from v6; t-shirt, belt and scarf from v10; I also like the bags from v2 and belt elements and pockets from v6). You can also add some bandage on the left hand.

I predict here a good illustration with all this stuff.

@mdashow you are probably right, my friend! Simple design might just be the most practical one, also your suggestion of "I've-got-a-tree-branch-for-an-arm thing" just gave me another awesome idea of an ENT who got corrupted by darkness, so he foun and fused his arm with a giant chainsaw-sword since it would be the most effective weapon against his own kin xD
But, Im planning to stick with the idea in mind, so yeah, its still awesome tho!
I do like v8, and as @posashkov suggested I will combine some minor but powerful design elements from other variants with the 8th one as the main one.
Also! I never thought about bandages on his devil-arm, tho it can be a very powerful detail!

Looks like a great concept and the stylized effect is really appealing. Advice that always works for me is when in doubt always error in the way of cool or good looking, even if its technically wrong. That's why silhouettes are a great way to work, you have no idea what all the edges mean but you get an idea, ultimately its the shape thats dope, not the anatomy. If it looks good, go with it. Have fun drawing!

So before I go sleepin, I did something like this... Basic sketch of his generic expression and demonic arm (that obviously needs more work). Will start working on it tomorrow!

And here comes the part of me being very nervous and unsure about my next steps, unlike lines etc, I never realy had any professional experience on working with shading, light, rendering and most emportantly for me, colors. I feel so unsure about all those important aspects that actualy form complete illustration, I simply don't know the right way to do it good for someone as unskilled as I am (and often I just end up not doing anything at all.)

I could realy use a word of advice about all this stuff that I have mentioned (especialy color.)

I just happened to see this link today and it seems like it would be useful: How Stanley Lau aka Artgerm goes from black and white to color. I haven't watched it yet - I just found it this morning - but he does fantastic color work so it's likely going to be somewhat useful. (I'll watch it myself later.)
If you haven't done too much with color, here's a basic primer from Henning Ludvigsen which also shows a little process.
These are just two suggestions, there are tons of other methods, tips, techniques and tutorials on the web. Good luck!

I like 9 but maybe mix in some armor from 3 or 6. Keep it up man!

Just use typical process like flat colors first but make sure everything is light colored. Then use a layer on top and set to multiply to add in the shadows. This is the simplest and most effective method for me if I want to color a character. Goodluck!
