Hi.
So this is my entry for Artwar 2. I'm trying to do my best
Please give me lots and lots of feedback! I'm still trying to improve.

So these are some sillhouettes of my Character (I chose the Light site!) I want him to be some sort of priest/exorzist kinda guy inspired by the asian culture. (The title is japanese for "White Exorzist")
Trying to get a feeling on how he may look. Please again: Give me lots of C&C! Thank you

After some more sillhouettes and research, I decided to "drop" the fixation on the asian culture alone and tried to do a more general approach. Combining some religions and general believes, I came up with this Steampunk-like Exorzist carrying a giant tank of holy water on his back, throwing with smaller bottles to burn the heretics and demons threatening the peace and harmony. Sillhouette in the upper left corner, to the left are some more ideas for the bottle design and to the right are some more ideas for his head.
C&C very very welcome!

So now I'm trying to find a possible pose for this gentleman. I'm not that good at quick sketches but I guess you can see what the poses are supposed to be. Trying not to waste to much time on this. Just trying to get a feeling on how the Artwork may look. I figured that this guy is kind of an anti-hero Still I really like him^^

Okay so I actually was quite productive today. I drew my character from the front and from the back in a basic standing position, to see how he'd look not in an action pose.

Also I experimented a little bit which colors I would use in the Illustration. I'm still not quite sure yet which to choose or whether I'll use completely different colors. It was really fun though. Kinda felt like creating skins for a new DiveKick character Any critique is very welcome!!

Great designs! As far as the colour setting goes, seeing as you are team Light, I would opt for design D. Good luck!

Hey thank you very much! Yeah I thought so, too. Especially since he's a "white exorzist". Will probably change the hair color though.

So I was experimenting with poses for the illustration that look dynamic. I had some tests, but finally chose this one. I'm really glad about the decision. I thought maybe he's jumping off the roof of a cathedral or tomb. I'm not sure. But I want the moon to be visible in the background. I'm sure that looks cool and adds a certain something to the composition. But for now I could really use some C&C so I can move on to colouring. Especially on the anatomy of the fingers, his right hand and his left foot.

Okay so I tested a lot more what colors I'll use. I decided on this color palette, which actually has some meaning to it (lithurgic colors from the catholic church). I'm pretty happy with it but I'm gonna push the design a little further with ornaments on the belts and straps. We'll see how it turns out.

I'm currently trying a new shading style. This Art Challenge is (at least for me) mostly for learning new stuff after all^^ So I researched a lot about the ambient occlusion shading style and I have to say: It's a lot of fun so far! And it's going pretty well, too! Anyway this is still WIP but I want to get more of my stuff out there! Gimme some C&C if you have any!

Yeah nice! Love the perspective you put in your illustration. Would make sure that the face is the main focal point, perhaps by turning the arm composition a bit, like this:

Hey thanks for the paint over! I actually put some golden cut thingies in there too, to check. I really had troubles with that arm because i'm not sure how the anatomy would look like if he's pulling his arm backwards like this. That was my main problem. But yeah now that I'm comparing, yours looks even more dynamic. When I put the golden cut there I made the Barrel on his back the main focal point but you are right obviously! It should be his face. Thanks a lot!!

Okay. Now. Once again. I changed the pose a little bit since it was still way off Geezus this is harder than i thought.. But I think it's correct now. (What happened to my beautiful line-art? Q.Q ) So anyway. Proceding to AO now...
