Hello everyone! This is my first time participating in any art challenge by CubeBrush, good luck to everyone participating!
I decided to join the ‘Light’ side on this challenge and it took me a while to think about what ‘Light’ really meant.
From my perspective it meant something which at a glance looks ‘good’. This meant not using saturated colours or using sharp edges (or as much as you can avoid for a battle clad character). When I thought more about a ‘good’ character I thought of an angel, something which is incredibly powerful but tries to do good.
However I want the character to not look like they aren’t ready for battle or weak in any way, at the same time I want them to look as though it is a burden, or a terrible thing to wage war which is what I hope I can convey in my final illustration and concepts to come.
At the moment I have a few ideas in my head for the final illustration but it depends on the characters appearance and how it will fit around that image but we will see!
