I'm a little late to the party, but I'm going to do this! Working with the idea of creating a very evil kind of character, but one who has sense moved into the light. No ambiguity in this. Just like the idea of 2nd chances, and also... even characters are often more interesting to make.
Been working this weekend on concepts, and I'm getting close. I've narrowed it down to the ones with the white check marks after some feedback from friends. Input welcome.
Which one's your favorite?
Alright... the scorpion lady won, and I also happen to think she's the best for what I'm trying to accomplish. So, here's my block out:
Slow and steady... (wins the race, right?!)
Worked a bit her torso, but mostly started on her face. Trying to get the style of that down, and then use it moving forward. I also made her head smaller.

Well.. made some headway this evening. Not hopeful about hitting this deadline, but here's my progress! Added some poly paint just to get an idea of the values I'll be going for.
Also, I changed my legs. The first version felt too much like a horse or something the way they were. Now they're a little more insect-like. Still not final.
Finished up her legs.

So glad the deadline was extended! Ha. I'm starting to feel like I might actually get his done in time!
So close. Yet so far. Hope to tackle more this weekend!
