Hi Everyone,

This is my first time here and also my first time participating on a contest on internet. I am sure it will be a thrilling experience and I am sure I will learn a lot from all of you guys.

Well, for this contest I will take the LIGHT side and fight with a Priestess called Helia who burns evil with her solar scepter.

Following this idea I made a couple of sketches to try to find the character.

Currently I am wondering if the red is not too offensive as a color for someone from the LIGHT side. Well, I will try to make other variations, because I not completly convince yet.

Do not hesitate to tell me what you think, I will be glad to hear any critics from you guys.

Hi,

Well, continuing with the character, I made a little bit more test on the color.

After thinking a little bit more about it, I think that red should be fine because it has this aspect of shininess and power and also as she is a priestess it make her look like a little bit like a cardinal which is not so bad after all I think.

So I am going toward a mix between version 3 or 5 for the moment

Stil, I am not quite found of some part of the armor yet, I do not want her to wear something too heavy or too details, I want to keep her simple with clean shapes.

I think I am not too far but it looks like I will have to dig a little bit more on what I want for this character before beginning the cleanup.

LOVE THE DESIGN!
The white design does feel more like a "light" character, so i have a feeling it may be better for the theme, and yeah the red does work well. Looking forward to your progress👍

Hi,

Refining a little bit more the overall character adding more details here and there, tweaking some elements I was not particulary found of.
I have the feeling that I am close to what I want for this character. A little bit more tweaking and I think I will begin the cleanup.

Hi,

Continuing with the character, now that I know what I want, I am going to do a clean turn around. It will help me prepare everything before actually modeling Helia. Here is the beginning of the character turn around. Still very rough but very close to the proportions I want.

Continuing the turn of the character, I also update the colors because I had the feeling that with the previous ones we lost the "light priestess" side of the character.

Well I think that I will begin the modeling within a couple of day otherwise, I won't be able to finish on time.

Finally finding some time to finish the rough turn of Helia.

Now that I have the design , let's the real fun begin, let's create this character in 3D.

Only 22 days to go... I should probably speed up.

Very fabulous work. I like it a lot. Sadly you couldn't finish this.
