looking gorgeous, love the face! for the face paint, i would say, anything that keeps it simple, strengthens her theme, and keeps the attention works

awesome job, I really like the design, R face paint looks great, can't wait to see more

Thanks everybody! Looks like D and H seem most popular, D for looking fierce, and H for subtlety. O, R and E following closely behind. Will keep everyone's suggestions regardless.

@bcbedford Thanks mate. For sure was looking at kabuki make up when i made those. Didn't consider negative shapes at all yet, so I'm definitely going to experiment with that.

@alemja I see! Now that I look at it, I do think the gun silhouette I have on my sketch looks very angular and modern. Will most likely revamp the look and make it more gothic/steampunk as to not mislead anyone. Cheers for the feedback.

Excellent work!! her face is very beautiful, I really like D and Q, The concept you have for the costume is great too. keep up the good work

that's gonna be awesome^^

Great concept and character
I would combíne facepaint E;F;H

Updated my sketch by cleaning it up and visualizing more specific things like her boots and gun. For now I've went with face paint H due to its Kabuki inspired look that i feel more relevant to the character's mystical theme. I am fond of D though for reasons people have pointed out so I'm keeping a face paint change later on a possibility.

  • I added a hint of ghastly green to some of her wear. This should give contrast to the reds.

  • I tweaked the guns to be less angular and more curved like that of steampunk guns to reinforce her as a fantasy oriented character.

  • Experimented with her boots/heels to a shape I'm happy with. Inspired by Japanese geta wear but not quite geta. I'd like to see if I can get it to feel 'right' while keeping them as sleek heels.

Let me know what you think!

Old sketch for context, and to see if I lost anything essential in this iteration.

Concept is looking sweet. Keeping an eye on this one

Cool. We'll waiting for continue

Looking great. Especially head shape and colors. Keep it up. :+1:

New gun is definitely better! I like how you merged the idea of geta shoes with her platform boots. The whispy green glow helps a lot too! Keep it up!

Definitely grabbing the popcorn for this one :smile_cat:

I too find the platform boots a little odd, but that's me. II think it's because they're visually distracting, they have a lot of detail and extra shapes in comparison to the legs in general, so it pulls your eye towards it. (Also the reflections of the gold will be enough to distract the eye to the torso and head though so should look alright in the end?)

Thanks everybody! Will go back to sculpting to figure things out in 3D from here.

@alemja glad to know the guns worked out better. thanks for bringing it up earlier : )

@aveon gotcha, I'll keep that in mind as I work on her.

This is awesome, I love the concept and the face so far looks fantastic, can't wait to see more!

really cool design man ! great work !

Love the direction on the paintover! Pumped to see this finished.
