New Ideas

Weekly Winner Badge 1st, 5th, 10th time, etc.
Monthly Winner Badge 1st, 5th, 10th time, etc.
Shop Owner Badge
Helpful/Helper Badge that a mod/admin could give to people who are helping out others.

Other cool badges I'd love to see:
Badges for weekly/monthly winners; 1st time, 5th time, 10th, etc. and badges for shop owners so they'll be easier to spot on the forums.

Love the idea of sellers getting a badge too!

I had totally forgotten that the weekly and monthly challenges were a thing facepalm .Badges for those would be definitely be really nice. Beyond what @kigerneko already suggested, I don't really see anything else for now.

And by the way, hello everyone! It's a pleasure to be part of this ultra-secret part of the forum

I would like a badge like Helpful that a mod/admin could give to people who are helping out others. Like a little reward for being nice and helping the forum

Great idea!

Welcome Cedricgo!

The first post is a wiki so you can edit with your suggestions!

just throwing out an idea to discuss, because I'm not sure to to concisely name it, but a badge to reward great critique? Maybe this would already be covered by the badge 'Helper' or could be another specific badge.
I would award it for posts like this where one artist went out of their way to explain something or constructively critique another artist.

@Acolet I like the idea but the question is how does someone obtain that badge? Are they recommend for it?

@malcom a recommendation is a good idea, although I'm not sure how it would be implemented.
But I think just having a moderators /admin award it when they see a great critique could be good enough.
Or people could recommend it to a mod via message or a topic and then mods could award it, or is that too complicated? hmm what do you think?

I get what you mean. If we're giving them out, that would be best in my opinion.

Sounds very complicated and a lot of work if you want to automate it. Manually it could be possible? I think the badge helper already covers this, so I'm not a fan but that's just my opinion!
Ive worked for a large mmorpg years ago that had a voting system if i'm not mistaken. And i know of a 'knowdledge bank' kind of site that completely works this way!
On that website you ask a question and award the best answer, given by a community member, which immediately closes the topic. Of course that would never be the case here on CB. The person that gets awarded with 'best answer' gets points that add up to his score 1 to 10 which shows others how knowledgable that person is. Besides that theres a green bar made of several square pixels. The more the person has under his username, the higher his score or something.

Just an example for comparison. ^^
