Hi, I wanted to ask whats the difference between Zbrush and Blender. I previously learned about Zbrush before in my time in Art college few years back, but I couldn't afford it. so I just recently got introduced to Blender and though I would ask if there are any good Youtube videos or tutorials out there to let me familiarize with the software, I have hard time on listening to tutorials so i have to rely on subtitles on the video a lot and hope I can get some recommendation on tutorials I can follow with. Thank you in advance.

Hi Aria! I just took a class at a city college last semester on Blender because I'm super interested in it too. It's amazing what all it can do. However, it is super hard to use! Luckily, there are a lot of really good tutorials online. The textbook we used in class was awful, so for the amount of time and effort I put in I didn't get much in the way of results, but The Blender Guru's tutorials get you making cool stuff really fast. Here is the link to the first one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPrnSACiTJ4 There are lots of other good tutorials on Youtube for it too. I actually like this guy's ones too because they are so quick and to the point: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2U5mRfclG1Rrr1ztNkpGKA
Best wishes! If you find other good resources please post them back here, because I still have a ton to learn in Blender and am always looking for good resources!

I haven't used Blender extensively or anything, but I figure it has the same issue as most big open source programs: The GUI changes often (due to more cooks in the kitchen), the GUI is overly complex and its stability leaves a lot to be desired. Zbrush has its fair share of crashes too though, especially if you don't disable windows defender before you install it.

ZBrush wont animate things for you. So if that's your end goal you may need blender anyway since 3d software like maya can be over 2000 USD. ZBrush has a free trial, so maybe give it a whirl and see what you think either way.
