Hello!
I want to share my experiences leading up to starting the course. My name is Cackle, I am an art student from pre-2020. After exactly one year of art school I had to dropout to move back home and as I was applying for an art job, my laptop gave out so quickly I lost everything. It took me more than a couple years to save up for a new computer, a new tablet, and now that I have a dream project I'm determined to finish, I decided to give myself a birthday present to gain the skills I need to bring this project up to the standard I want. I just turned 31 today.
I'm someone who's drawn for most of their life but I know I'm lacking in certain areas and lost some skills when I was saving for a new laptop. My current project is a mystery visual novel, but my background skills and speed obviously need improvement, as well as other areas I pay less attention to. I've had a lot of fun working on it so far. In fact, I want to introduce two characters I've recently drawn to both show them off and as a starting point for me to look back to. The art is rough but complete as these are concept sketches for the lore journal.
This is Lilith, drawn using a 3D reference.
This is Lucille, no ref used.

Any and all feedback is welcome! My consistency with posting will depend on my work hours but I'm really excited to be here.
