A place for me to put daily work as I work towards a complete portfolio.
Alright, to begin with I've made a quick bust sculpt of Claude Frollo from Disney's Hunchback. Here's a couple of the progress shots I took along the way,
And then the final BPR render, and a quick lighting pass I fiddled with in Photoshop
Next project begun, this time I'm taking a crack at Sesshomaru from Inuyasha, not much for this first session except blocking out some proportions.
After a good while fiddling and fighting to find the right method, I have a baseline I am happy with for the hip armor and Hakama pants.
Third session's progress, I think I've finalized the waist armor's look, and I knocked out a starting point on the sleeves and Obi Belt.
4th session, I've reworked the belt base mesh to something I think will be easier to work with, and spent a long time going back and forth on the first spiked armor piece. I think I will have to go back to the drawing board on it once again next session.
Well, had some setbacks and delays, but here is the next iteration of my Sesshomaru build. I've finally got the spiked armor looking like I want it to, and started work on his face and upper body.
Tonight's milestone, I've got the face to a fine stopping point for now, shelled out the clothes in preparation for fold sculpting, and blocked out the large fluffy scarf.
Update for today, I've made the base model for the first of two swords, Tokijin.
Followup on Sesshomaru once again, this time with a model for the second sword, Tenseiga.
Back from a short trip, here is the next progress shot. Put in a start for the hand, feet and belt bow, plus merged the swords into the main model.
