Hi guys! I'm Danielle Marie --cederus_, a digital artist based in Malta. I'm currently in the thesis year of my course (Game Arts and Visual Design) and I've been trying to improve my portfolio (even though it's all over the place :P)

I'll be sharing some commission/personal works as well as studies (maybe a little bit of my thoughts) and I would love to know what you guys think! I've been trying to be consistent with character design (but illustrations keeps pulling me back in!)

Here's my little fanarts of 2B. I've been making fanarts of her since the game's release in 2017 and I'm sure will be making more in the next years (because she's my waifu)

This was also a great practice for me to keep pushing forward!

I did this study a couple months ago, the first time I decided to work with greyscale. I had to watch bunch of youtube tutorials and this was the result. I also applied some of my techniques.

I started doing commissions in 2018 and honestly looking back to my old client works makes me think about how much I've improved in 1 year. I seriously need to focus on character design tho LOL
I'm gonna try my best to post more of that.

If i remember correctly, this took me about 3 weeks? 2018

I finished this study last night after contemplating whether to practice character concepts or yet again, do another portrait, obviously my body chose the latter.

Android Elf; a pretty wild idea but worked out somehow.

Process....
Photoshop crashed after not saving it for almost 2 hours and I couldn't get back the file, auto save didn't work and I was so devastated (was so close to flipping everything ). This was the only the only thing I could recover.

Then decided to switch to greyscale because I realised it wasn't working out and the values were pretty f*cked. Walla!

Been quiet for a while now. I recently started watching Ruan Jia's live paintings on youtube. He is one of my main inspirations but I never really properly studied his techniques. So this is what I came up with. Yay a concept practice

It's still a WIP.....
