Thank you @gregorya and @vignesh! I hope you had a good one.
Here's 2 magnet I made as gifts. The bear on made with air-drying clay and and the owl made with cardboard along with various recycled pieces.
And finally, my summary of art for 2022!
Not my first drawing of the year, but the first one worth posting!
Ink, black colored pencil and pastel powder on bristol paper.
Just an ink drawing to practice style and techniques.
Ink on 11" by "14 hot press watercolor paper
I really like the picture and the thumbnail. Good use of Negative space.
Thanks! Originally I was planning a big cloud in the back, but I thought it looked much stronger and bold without.
Here's a drawing I made for my fellow artist jessicabessy's "draw this in your style" challenge on instagram. This is meant to be a porcelain girl with a cute rabbit friend, but i feel like i just turned her into a regular girl with tattoos. Anyway, go check her art out!
Illustration I made for the band Late Night Trouble new upcoming shirts. I had a real tough time coming up with a concept at the beginning, which is actually pretty rare when I'm commissioned to do something. Fortunately, after a bit of discussion, we managed to settle with this concept, and they seem really happy with it!
Here's a few acrylic study i made in my sketchbook . I hadn't really painted since the beginning of the year, so it was fun to get back into it.
These are very good studies. Do you start painting the light or dark first?
Thanks! In general i think i prefer going from dark to light. But gor these I started by blocking in the basic shapes using the light midtones and the dark midtones. From there I pushed the lights lighter and the darks darker.
Arm study made using mostly acrylics and finished with touches of pastels and colored pencils.
That is very impressive. It almost looks real.
Thank you @gregorya
This was simply a little practice piece made to test out a technique using a surface primed with clear gesso, which dries with a slightly grainy texture. It's a nice surface for using pastels and colored pencils too actually, if you don't mind a bit of a rough look.
A drawing from last weekend, made with no real plan in mind.
Reallynice work, always nice to see others who use traditional medium to illustrate:D
Thank you! I've been focusing more on traditional art since the year started. It's nice to be away from the screen a little bit.
That is a really good drawing. It looks like a alien bird.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it.
Wow! It's been a while since I last posted. To be honest I haven't done much worth posting in that time, but still. Here's some art!
