Nice pictures. Is the house a model or a 3D Model?
What is the multi-eyed one? An alien? Is the last one a type of elephant?

I apologize for the very late response @gregorya.

The house is a small model I made using cardboard, bits of plastics like bottle caps and paint. And then I took a picture of it outside.

I would say the multi eyed character is most likely not from around here. And the last one is a creature that started of as a weird rat creature, but just ended evolving into something that's indeed more elephant like

A year has ended and a new one started, so it's time for a retrospective... or two!

Nice work on the leaves. Do you usually shade with white or is it with shadows?

Thank you! For these last two leaves it's all shaded with light using that white chalk pencil on black paper. It's a bit of a challenge, at least dor me, as it feels almost like the opposite of drawing with a regular pencil on paper.

Third and last leaf for now as they take me a bit longer I thought they would to do and I want to move to something else at the moment.

Your drawings are so good! I love how you use texture in your work. In your latest pieces, I can almost feel the texture of the fall/winter leaves. I can see you have a lot of variety in different mediums and styles!

Thanks! I have found more and more through the years that I really enjoy textures and having marks that don't look like much by themselves, but work in context of a drwing or painting.

And as for the variety in mediums and styles, I do wonder sometimes if It's a problem or not. In a way it makes it harder to master anything. But I just love exploring and trying different things. And I think that at the end of the day, what matters is just creating.

I rarely leave my comfort zone, so it is inspiring to see your journey. I think that enjoying the process more, will surely increase the speed of progression!

I do wonder sometimes if It's a problem or not. In a way, it makes it harder to master anything. But I just love exploring and trying different things.

I guess that you can explore different mediums, find the one you like the most, and master that.

That's true! But I find each mediums (at least the ones I've used) have characteristics that makes them good for certain things and not as good for others. So depending on what I do or the effect I want, I kind of find it useful to use whatever I think will work best in each scenario. But I can see the advantage of focusing on just one and mastering all aspects of it too. I guess that as long as I'm able to get results I like, then it's okay no matter what approach is used.

Mr Gentlefrog and his companion. I think I will be developping this sketch a bit further and turn it into a painting.

I like the detail on the frog's heads. Does the one behind the frog in the suit have wings?

Thank you! Yes it does have wings. Hand shaped wings. Although the drawing changed a bit since I last posted.
