Character design critique pliz

Some character designs that I intend to turn into pixel art form. I would really appreciate some critique, tips regarding approaching character design, do the shapes work, does it read well? Anything you can think might be useful for me to improve my character designs.

the design is great, it has kind of a Warhammer 40000 feeling to me, but just have in mind that you may loose detail when doing the pixel art version. the design is really good , the only thing i would touch would be dome colors or values but, that is subjective

The shapes are looking good to me. The best designed one in my opinion is the one in the middle. Or design number 2. It stands out to most and is the most badass. To me it would be the final armor design you'd pick up in a game or something. I actually enjoy the sci fi elements which gives this character it's own appeal and look. Keep up the good work.

I don't think I could properly critique this without a further explanation about the character and what He/She does. I'm going to be completely transparent here, frankly I don't like the pauldrons in your design. I get there supposed to be big however for me something doesn't seem to be meshing well. The 2nd design is the the one i've taken a liking to however!

• In this design something I saw that was done very well was the cape really unifies the armor pieces as well as the skull that brings some variety towards the set as a whole. I'd love to see more of this so please keep up with the great work!

@malcom @exofley thanks a lot for the "as detailed as could be" feedback haha. I definitely could have provided a bit more explanation, you're right. I intend to, after transforming her into pixel art form, to inject her into a top down, hack and slash game mockup i'm working on. Currently there is no backstory apart from that the setting is scifi/fantasy. I'm trying to keep her shapes larges and highly readable.

I think I'll take the middle one and try a few different designs based on that one.

Hi I really love the middle design too, my only critique would be it looks like she needs to be placed a tiny bit higher, functionally it looks like the front neck part and shoulders would be a bit obstructive. But that's all I can see
