Charlotto - Art School Journey

Hi everyone! I'm Charlotte or Charlotto and I'm from the UK. I bought Art School last October and have been working through terms 1 & 2, I've decided to keep track of my progress better by posting my journey on this forum.

My goal from art school is to learn the fundamentals, build up a portfolio and be able to work on bigger projects. I'm hoping to figure out what direction I can go in but at the moment I like creating fantasy worlds and illustrations and will see where that takes me!

Your Photoshop Dream House Assignment- This is great, nice reflections and colours. Gives me major 'Myst' vibes. A game series with puzzles etc. I can imagine going to that house and there being some interesting puzzles to figure out in this world. Love it.

Thank you so much! I've heard of Myst! I think playing video games definitely has an impact on my art style and what I like to create

Is that a red panda on the bed? The bedroom looks good. Some of the lines look like they may be off just a bit. When tracing the bottom of the end table I got the line just above the light switch, but doing the right wall I get a different location.

Hi, sorry for the late reply and thank you so much for the feedback! My perspective lines did get a bit messy so it is probably off. The creature on the bed is inspired by Pabu from Avatar if you're familiar!

Figure Drawing Term 1

I've been challenging myself to see how well I can remember proportions with a 5 minute timer, then compare it to Marc's examples and try to remember where I'm making mistakes for the next practice.

Nice to see the figures from this challenge put next to each other - you can really tell your improvement by the third day on the ones from memory.
