starting again with the landscape ^^ And i am kind of bored with the normal view so I' trying to switch it up And if someone can help me with an Issue i have... i want to resize this painting, like the whole frame so i can make it more wide but i just don't know how to do it,, everytime I use the crop tool it leaves those blanc spaces to the right and i can't get rid of them

colorblocking my res character and i already did the basics from the hair ^^ The problem i have with this Painting is that I don't want to really proceed in painting it yet because of my first Issue that i had, that the image should actually be wider and I think that would also affect the way i would place like the smoke coming out of his 'flight-weapon' and general tweaks ...so..if anyone knows what to do please tell me but i also have to go to sleep now <-< catch 'ya guys tomorrow

Tbh guys i think i need kind of a break..not like for weeks or stuff but i see that i kind of lost some inspiration and can't find some at the moment and it seems like I...I don't know..sometimes i can paint like really good for my skill level and then there are days where i just want to bang my head on the table xD maybe some of you know what I mean but right now i think i can't really paint out of motivation its kind of just so i keep on rolling.. Idk if i will take some time off or if tomorrow my art block will be gone..hopefully

Hm, sometimes all you need is a little rest, but some other times you have to push through, i think. Carry yourself more through force of iron discipline, than motivation and inspiration, which are fickle things. That said, music and exercise usually help me regain some creative energy.

This is just a sketch i did in class with took me about 15 min. xD suprisingly i did draw it on paper because usually i just tend to draw on tables dew to my laziness just practicing faces a bit more and trying to find my style

It was super fun to make this Study and I really think this is a great way to understand the Original painting more and its intensions ^^ hope you guys like it and it didn't come out to crappy >-< I tried to use different tones then in the original painting to make it more ...i don't know ..make it feel more like i put my twist on it? xD if that makes sense.. and for all those who might be wondering why I sometimes always change my final image, its because i don't really name them right and i always upload and older version of the paintings

Hey guys ! Just a quick update because I feel really bad for not uploading for 2 days. I sort of feel down and because recently i did a lot of paintings and even tried things i never did before like this upclose face painting and i really had a good feeling uploading all of these here, on the website but now they didn't get any sorts of comments and I really appreciated all of you guy's opinions so..I don't really know where to go from here or if you guys just think that my recent stuff was crappy and even if so i would really like to know because then i would know what to work on or.. don't invest more time in..

I definitely don't think your recent work is crappy at all. I think you did a good job with the South Mountain study. The new tones work well.

I also really like that last portrait. I really like the colors and the character herself looks lovely. And now that you mention it, I do see a bit of Wlop in the way you did the portrait.

Anyway, I really hope you'll keep posting more stuff. I think you definitely are improving.

I think you're doing incredibly well for your age; one thing I would recommend, is to draw more than paint. Rendering is a skill that can make things pretty, but if your structure is off, so will the rest be. I made the mistake of spending a lot of time trying to render stuff when I was younger, pushing the important part away (drawing).

My advice, particularly in response to your recent update, is don't focus on getting compliments/attention for your work. It takes away from you truly expressing yourself and only focusing on what/where your goals are as an artist. You're young and doing well at that! Don't fret and fall into the trap of hopelessness because everything comes with time and effort. If art's the one thing you feel complete in, just do it for sake of you. Also, it's good to just paint for sake of relaxing instead of getting better. Keep it up Cheers to future progress!

still in a very early state but like always i will show you guys all the WIP moments ^^ and thank you @achronic @cedricgo @ESL for your comments and i really don't know why but i was just feeling quite down that week but no more with that ^^ ill try even harder now since I had an operation on Thursday and i had to stay in the hospital until Friday I didn't draw / paint for like 3 days so i hope i can catch up again and push myself a little further ^^ Not (just) to prove it to anyone, but to prove it to myself

I want to keep this one simplistic so it kind of still has some drawing characteristics ^^ I worked a bit on the face but I have a tight schedule today because I have to leave in 5 min. to go to the doctor again xD

...I kinda don't like where this one went..way to messy for me so i cleaned it up a bit ^^
