Hello!
On this topic, I am sharing a little bit of my art journey with you all! I thought it would be kind of fun, plus, I did do something similar on my Instagram at one point. So this image below is what I shared on Instagram: Fan Art of Neji. I did my first fan art of him digitally when I was still very new to Photoshop.
(Maybe 2010? I am not sure lol!)
Then after a long while, I eventually did another picture of Neji. This is my recent image of him.
2020
Usually, I am very critical of my work and refuse to share any of my past artworks. However, looking back at the before and after, I was surprised to see the progress I made over the years. I know a lot of times, art can be a frustrating journey for some, and they want to be at a certain skill level within a short time frame. But like with everything else, things take time. Progress only stops when you stop. As long as you keep going, you are making progress!
I had to learn this myself, and it can be hard to see progress sometimes. Some days you feel like you aren't making progress at all, but it's a mindset you have to "set aside" in a sense. I still have a long way to go, since there is a particular look I want my art to have, but hopefully, it is getting there.
Thanks for reading my post!
I was going to share another story, dealing with comic making, but I could save that one for the next time I post lol!
