@Pattu_w I agree, the red and white looks mwa. I'm glad you like it.
@Lockenheim blue and purple definitely fits her theme more.
@Araita I do like the last one the most as well but i ended up choosing a blue outfit to match her whole character.
Hello once again my fellow friends, I've been up to some anatomy studies. Also some shape stuff and a final piece for the year 2022.
Critique is always welcome and have a great night everyone.
I like this piece quite a bit, I do think that the line work, especially on her legs is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. I feel that if you can rely on your values over these lines it will increase the realism of the piece. I don't know if that makes sense. But Ireally like this recent one keep it up!
Thank you for the critique @Lockenheim, i do agree that i need to work on my values. Therefore i will stop running from my art responsibilities.
Hey everyone I'm here to post the shapes that i've been working on for term 4. I do not know what it is about them but i have had a rough time drawing cast shadows but i think it worked out well in the end. I'm fairly satisfied with the end ones looked even if it started out rough. As always critique is welcome and have a great day.
Hellllllooooo everyone, i hope you are having a great day. I've been doing some value practice and i think it's going fairly well. thank you @Lockenheim for suggesting i learn my values, i haven't done this in a long while.
The first one was a quicker study. As always i would love critque. Have a great day.
One thing that I had recommended to me when I started was to do two tone studies to help gain an eye for value. I highly recommend taking a reference like this and going over it, and detrmining just what is in light and what is in shadow and drawing a red line for the terminator between them. It will be quite difficult at first but it will help. If you are having trouble try squinting at the values. Then pick one color for the light and one for the shades and fill in. When you feel comfortable with these two tone studies then add halftones, or value changes when the form is turning. That will increase the difficulty quite a bit. You are doing veryt well with these and I hope you keep it up! Here is an example of a two tone study and where I would have marked the light and shades for this reference. Keep in mind most people consider halftones a part of the light family is my understanding. Great work as always! Keep it up let me know if this doesnt make sense.
Wow, i wasn't expecting this much knowledge to be given to me when i looked at this. I will definitely be using this practice in my studies as i have heard from a few different sources that this is a great way to start learning values. I appreciate your input and am very glad that i have someone to give me first hand knowledge and critique. Have a fabulous rest of your day!
Thank you @andysawesomemovies for the critique i will definitely be paying more attention to the smaller areas from now on.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a great year so far! I've been very productive and I've been able to get a quite a bit done since i started following Marc's art school schedule. I look forward to the future.
The face studies were about 5 minuets per one. as always critique is appreciated.
