Hiya!My name's Connor and I've been drawing as a hobby for a couple of years now. But I've wanted to take it more seriously and try to turn it into a career, so that's why I'm here! I never used forums before so bear with me if I make some mistakes lol. Advice and criticism is always welcome
hello! nice meeting yah, welcome to the forum and its fine XD i will be looking forward to your progress! and i will give my best advice and criticism on your progress.
Welcome aboard @connorlefchak!
Welcome to the forums Connor! I look forward to seeing your work!
Term 1: Photoshop for Digital Production AssignmentsOverall, I felt pretty good about these assignments. However the face transplanting one really kicked my butt. Even now it still looks super off. But it is what it is. Criticism is welcome!
Just finished the 8-Head Proportion assignment. The first one on the left were my notes when watching the video. 1-4 are then my attempts at trying to draw it from memory but using my notes when needed. 5 was fully using memory to draw the proportions. As usual, criticism is always welcome!
Fantastic work Connor! This is exactly the way to start the program! Really fantastic job. Love to see those cylinders and great work with those color corrections too!
Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement
Good job on the basic figure structure assignment. I noticed you kept the lines clean and confident and added some weight on certain spots, great work! One thing I would suggest is to avoid symmetry on the human body - here is a recent video on Proko's channel that explains that subject more in depth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twKho61aS7c
Keep it up!
Hey that was a pretty good video. I took some notes from it and I'll try to incorporate it. I mostly got from it to use straights and curves in tandem in order to avoid a "bubble figure". Thank you for the suggestion!
The past week I worked on some art for a contest. I didn't do any studying, but I feel this piece is a good landmark of my current skills. In the future I'm hoping I can look back on this and note my improvements, hence why I'm posting it here.
Looks awesome @connorlefchak. Love this style.
Very cute scene Connor! Well done!
