Hopefully Daily Update #17
After a rough last week, I'm hopefully back to business, that is until all hell breaks lose again xdd.
Before I get to the little bit I did today I wanted to thank you all for your kind words and feedback once again, You guys really make this community so much better, I hope none of you give up or burnout on your journey to better your Art!♥.
As Always C&C Is greatly appreciated!.
Let's just jump straight to the good 'ol Gestures, on Saturday I squeezed in a little 1 hour gesture session whilst I didn't have anything to do, And I also tried an alternative way of Gesture drawing on 3 of my gestures the 20th December, where I tried using basically whole limbs simplified. It came out fine, but I spent around 10mins per gesture doing so, compared to my now average of 2.5-3.5 mins per gesture.
Also proportions got a little rough on some of them.
Then I did a little 1 hour session of basic head constructions, It's been a while since last I did these so I was rusty on these as well.
And to finish this days little session I did just a few ears, only 2 from references as I slept for a measly 3-4 hours and woke up a bit late, trying to fix my schedule cause weekend happened XP.
Shading the ears is something I'll need to put way more time into getting right, or to reach a point I feel satisfied with.
Also regarding what @snakker said about using another line to give thickness to the ears, I tried to get around this by erasing the first line I use to construct the initial Helix, whilst keeping the extra line I use to add thickness, I do think it really helped in making the ears rounder, and they look way less stylized or "box-y".
And the 2 ears I did without reference were just me messing around and seeing what would happen if I messed with the shapes/proportions more so than normal, results were horrible but It was fun regardless.
Thank you for checking in on this little update, hopefully there's more to come tomorrow, and I wish you the best of Art gains onwards!.
