Great portraits @danilo_tedde, I esp like Nezuko. One thing I noticed about the 2nd portrait however is the right eye looks a little off. To me eye is too forward, it needs to be pushed back in a tiny bit it, it gives the feeling that the eye is surface level with the face instead of in a socket if you know what I mean. See below.
Other than this looks great, you have a really good understanding of values, I’m esp a big fan of your landscapes love it!
Oh I see that! I think I tend to do that on 3/4 portraits - push the eye too far to the side of the face making it look kinda "flat". Im gonna keep that in mind for the next portraits.

Well, its been a long time since I dont update this, but I've been drawing during this period. Im gonna try to be more consistent uploading the studies throughout the days, instead of just posting a bunch of stuff every 4 weeks (like Im doing right now lol).
If you have any feedback or tips that you think it could help me improve the studies, please dont hesitate saying!

Overall, I would say that these are some really great and solid studies. especially the portrait ones. If there's one thing, these pieces could use some more contrast in values. Keep up the great work! :))

@Apath TY! And yes, I can see that. Since I start with low contrast on values and work building it up, sometimes I dont push it far enough. I will try to gradually push a little bit more for the next ones. Thanks for the feedback!!
Wow, just wow! These portraits are so on point, you are totally nailing the planes and the values. These look so good. Likeness is good to I know the photo you used for the one in the bottom right! I really love your style. You are way beyond my level I have nothing of value to add just wanted you to know you are killing it. Keep it up!

I finally finished the cat stealing fish art. It helped me to understand better some parts of the process. The render was the hardest part by far - I felt lost/like I didnt really knew what I was doing a few times during the painting process. I feel like I could've done better, but overall Im somewhat satisfied with the final result since I didnt start studying color theory/composition yet.
Im starting to feel like moving to Term 3 now, will finish the last 4 and 5 points perspective assignments and move on.

Hello there. Here are some of the studies from this/last week. Critiques are very appreciated.
First, a master study from SWANG artwork

And another portrait which I tried to play with gradient maps to color it. It didnt work exactly like I wanted, but I kinda liked the result.
This looks pretty good. Now I think you need to work on the rendering of the dress. And for the other one, you may need to change the color of the person's pants. It blends into the field. The lighting looks pretty good for both.
I wish I had something to offer you for advice but these pieces are so stunning! Great work!

@gregorya Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I agree on both - Especially colors and rendering, they are the hardest part for me. Im kinda waiting for the next terms to focus more on those subjects, but I should be more careful when it comes to finish the paintings.
