Hey everyone, my name is Daniel.

I'm currently a 20 year old from Montreal who is soon to be a computer science student. I'm here because I finally started to draw again last year after having stopped throughout most of my teens.

I loved drawing as a kid but I got this idea that drawing from imagination was some sort of talent I'd never have. Now I understand that a lack of fundamentals was the main reason I couldn't really get to the next level so I'm excited to go through this course with you all.

I have done some study coming into this as well having completed most of Drawabox and Proko's figure drawing course, but I still have a lot to learn.

I'm creating this topic so that I feel obligated to post somewhat regularly and be able to look back on my progress later on.

Feedback is always welcome

To anyone interested in my Drawabox journey, here's my Drawabox profile, as well as a few images from the later lessons:

I'll be posting some of the assignments I've done for Term 1 soon

Draw a Box!! These look really good, I can't wait to see your assignments!

Man this looks insanely well, Lines so crisp you can hear them. I need to see your perspective assignments when you get there.

Thanks guys! As promised here are my assignments for the day...

Term 1

So starting off with some of these practice exercises, I can definitely see how my previous courses helped in identifying landmarks and drawing 3D forms freehand.
I'm pretty happy with how they turned out but my ribcage, pelvis, and joint placements weren't placed super precisely.

Hey Daniel, welcome.
Really impressive work and studies so far - you have a really strong foundation on line work and perspective from your DrawABox exercises. Cant wait to see more, keep it up!
