Back to figure construction, but this time following Proko's Mannequinization process (he has the class available on CubeBrush so I decided to take a shot)
I feel that his method and Marc's method, if combined, provide a solid foundation.
While Marc's has the beginning of the model construction more "structured" (start with the head, then the rib-cage, go your way down, etc), at the same time – because he is so experienced – some proportions for the legs and arms required more trial and error from the student side.
Proko's on the other hand is more connected to starting out by finding the simple shapes first and then making the connections along the way. It's a weird combination of shapes with a more freestyle approach on the gesture and proportions (more intuitive method, so to speak) that pushes me out of my comfort zone, but lands safely because of what I learned from Marc's method so far.
Piece still WIP, but should be able to finish it tomorrow. Please let me know what you think
