Line-art still suck, and drawing this character at this angle was a weird out of the comfort zone for me, so it was a good exercise!

Drawing hands is HAAAAAAAAARD!!!

First try sucked as much as I could, which was good, because I learned from a bunch of mistakes. Second, only half bad (I think 😅). And so on and on, until it becomes... something better than this 😆

Hey these are pretty good for a first and second try the second try is missing the "fold" near the thumb though

Finished the daily sketch. Got carried away and tried to finish it, but turned out like crap 💩

No worries tho, will learn what’s wrong, so next time it’s better 😃

Decide to go back to the drawing board (literally) and give this line art another try

Somehow his face switched from determined to kind of sad. But it is no crap at all!!
Man, I loved that series, I am missing Momo!

@Julia_J true that. I'm trying to bring that determined face back :-P.
I'm also experimenting with more brushes now as well, plus other approaches on how to do this lineart.

And YES! I wish I could have both Momo and Appa, real-life
I do have "real-life" Naga, tho. Only his name is Vic and is a lot smaller, but just as adorable 😊

Yeah I would immediately adopt Momo!
The biggest difference is the eyebrows, in case you didn't know already

Tonight was about anatomy of the hands agains

Things I believe I need to fix:
- Spacing between the fingers is too wide
- The palm feels bigger than the fingers
- The count out of the fingertips is not very uniform between the fingers
- Sausage fingers (not a “problem” per se, but still)

I like the position of the thumb better in this one (if compared to the last one)

Back to portrait this morning

I think I was able to improve on the line art a bit. Watched Marc’s video on the subject + changed the brush I was using for something that is now more pencil like. I’m liking it so far.

But please, do give any critique/feedback if you have any. It is much appreciated.

More progress on the morning portrait

I’m happy with the results of the line art, but I think I screwed up the eyes. Will give that another try tonight.

I’m happy with the line art, but got scared shitless about rendering the colors.
