Finally got around to doing Art Term 1 stuff. Started out with Photoshop for Production. I gotta say, this was challenging, but enough to make me want to do more. I know some of the values don't line up with the final pic of Mei at the bottom, but I was just having a difficult time with getting the colors right.

I'm going to continue to update this. I work a 9-5 job at home (due to covid) but will hopefully aim to retry some of these, and get at least one assignment per weekday.

And of course, im always open to critiques if you might have something useful to add! Thank you all so much for taking time to look at this.

ASSIGNMENT 3 - TERM 1
So with this project I had a bunch of ideas, but because of the castle I chose, I had a lot of troubles with really making it blend in and feel natural.

I had 2 things I thought would be final. After a lot of tweaking, I went with the bottom image as my final submission for this assignment.

I added some more shadow and made the castle really try to blend in with the sky and grass as much as I could.

On to assignment 4 tomorrow!

I think one thing you need to consider about the castle is scale! The way you added the castle, it only looks a few meters away from the tree. The tree doesn't look that tall, maybe 3 meters tall? So when you compare the castle to it, it looks really teeny in comparison. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's just my input.

I love the creepy green colours though. Looks very alien.

Worked on some more Photoshop for Production Assignments. These were actually pretty fun! The tools seem pretty nifty, hopefully will fine a use for these soon!

I have the Liquify assignment left and that should be about it for this class! I'll be moving on to Nude Figure Drawing next!
