Hi Malcolm thanks for the reply!
When I started the sword project I just wanted to get back into Zbrush after not using it for at least a year or so ^^ - after doing the sculpt and not thinking of anything else, I decided to use it to learn how to use Quixel, the lowpoly is not meant as a truly optimized model for game purposes. (example: its about 10k, most of it being the little orb keychain ;D) It's definitely in the category of 'hero prop'
I appreciate the feedback! I also think it's perfectly fine for a non-3d artist to give feedback, I appreciate the input and your time
My advice if you want to do anything, whether it be zbrush, 3D, concepting... :
Start out small, simple goals, but do it for like 30 minutes on a daily base. When I was in a slump, only doing my workhours for my job and nothing after getting home, I'd get so annoyed because I felt like I wasn't really 'getting things done' or improving or being creative. So I started with my 30-minutes rule. It evolves depending on my week. Ranging from 30 minutes to 4 hours of learning and practicing (Thats how this Cleaver came to be!)
My basic idea behind was: We all can spare 30 minutes of our day, it's just 1/48th of our day.
But hey what do I know, I'm just a junior
Thanks again for your time!
