Draconic Humanoid/Dragon-born Race Concept WIP

I am making an attempt to develop concept art for a race one may see in a video game for instance. The basic design philosophy is a mixture between a human and a draconic creature. These creatures use arcane energy stored within their bodies (visible through the gap in their body) as a source of power for their wings and potentially energy based attacks.
The wings sprout from the apparatus on their back which I envision to be connected to their spinal chord.

This is currently a work in progress and I have works for my initial concept as well as rough armor concepts for the female character. Feel free to provide feedback; I would truly appreciate some before I begin polishing any designs. I would also like particular feedback regarding which of the armor concepts is the strongest if any since that is going to be the basis for my polished concepts.

Nice start to this project. It sounds awesome. For now I'll comment on the 2 base bodies you have. Not sure if your using a reference for the anatomy, but, if not, I highly recommend you do. You have a cool style for both the male and the female. The horns on their heads are cools and they have cool hair styles. You just need to work on the anatomy and proportions of the characters. I did a quick PO if you don't mind. It's to be looked at as a recommendation of things you can do.

Interesting armor designs as well. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the feedback, I will apply the necessary changes and look into anatomy refinement. To be honest I found it rather difficult to find consistent references for the anatomy of the legs.

I know what you mean. I think the aliens in starcraft can help. Looking at animal anatomy can help as well. Like a rabbit for example.

Updated base bodies based on feedback, I actually had to restrain myself from redoing the male body altogether. In any case I am again open to further critique on this or the previous works.

This is really cool, I love the idea for the legs, especially for the male. I do agree with malcom though the fixed antomy helps a lot.
I like the first colour combination because it stands out a bit more than the green ones although the green does work nicer with the skin colour, and the smaller shoulders work better as well considering it is a light armor set i think.
And I looooove the wings!! The yellow here seems a bit jarring to me though maybe if it was a bit softer?

Appreciate the feedback, I will definitely gradate the opacity of the wings in the polished pieces and a bit less in your face as to not draw attention from the focal point (i.e. face). By any chance, regarding the lower torso armor is there any you think may be stronger than the others?

I think the skirt version definitely gives a nicer silhouette to her body, but i'm not big on the massive belt thing, it seems like it would get in the way.. and i feel like the feathers could look reeally cool if they matched the wings?

Finally had time to look into this again, I have since adjusted the legs and changed the armor a bit. I am open to one more iteration before I start rendering and polishing the designs so all feedback is welcome and needed.

Final designs before moving onto final rendering, I plan to go with the designs to the left, I think they provide a more interesting take on the horns, plus they no longer obstruct the helmet and actually are incorporated into said helmet design.
