I'm glad this contest returned! ARTWAR hype!

I'm going for a shadow/skeletal dark mage for my dark champion. The Blackthorn Mage is a necromancer that uses lightning that has thorns to stitch together his undead army.

wow this one looks cool! I like the fog at the bottom. Maybe it looks interesting if the fog is starting at the very end of the cloth. So the spine tail isn't covered which is little bit sad, because it looks so cool! You could make the spine tail much more bigger and use it like a weapon

Im agree, play more with the spine tail! and mybe try other baisic forms for the shapes he have in his hands!

Maybe adding a glow to the inside would help? Still going to play with proportions a bit.

If you gonna add a dark background in the final illustration the glow could pop up pretty well at the end.

I'm seeing now that the fire effects makes the edges look too fuzzy. So I might make it white fire instead, or just make the bones glow instead of being of fire.

Man this guy looks awesome!! I think it would look cool if there were flames around his arms or at least hands. Makes him look more "magical/creepy". Cool composition, too Although I'd maybe position his left arm (from viewers perspective) a little differently since there'd be to many parrallel lines. Other than that! Looks great looking forward to see more
