Final Illustration

Castien The Corrupt - Once an archer in the royal Elven military, was caught with a human which is strictly prohibited. He was banished from the lands and stripped of his Elven longevity. He was desperate to regain immortality, so he joined the Army of Darkness as a soul collector, promised to be once again immortal. Though he is immortal, this immortality through the consumption of souls has corrupted his very being, twisting and stripping him to a shell; a shell that roams and collects souls to fuel the Army of Darkness war machine as it rampages across the lands.

Kind of scrapped the first round of ideas, but based this new idea off of the archer. I guess I had to rethink the terms "dark" and "war." He has an entire backstory, but I don't want to spoil the fun details yet. I'll be placing the tentacles back in, but just easier rendering without them. I am not done rendering, but here's where I am at.

Roughed in the rear view, finishing the render on the final illustration. I'm going to finish by the original deadline so I can give myself a few days to rest my eyes and come back to it.

This is where I am. Hopefully finishing tomorrow, but I'm having a really hard time with the grass and the bodies. Oh well, another chance to learn where my skills are lacking. I'll of course add the tentacles and the soul streams once I render all this out.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Slowly finishing it up after taking a day off. I'll crank out the last rendering over the weekend. Just trying to fix anything and play with the lights and darks to change the focal areas. I'm trying to make the planes work better as well.
