ChangXi
The meaning of her name is dawn. And in the same way that the first light at the break of day brings hope she symbolizes hope when she enters the battlefield.
The nightly shadows belong to the armed forces of darkness and it is only a question of time until the feeble resistance of the army of light will be overwhelmed. But just as the battle seemed to be lost for good, suddenly a pale light appears at the edge of the horizon. And as it grows stronger with every passing second, so does the confidence of the defenders of light itself.
Dawn awoke and is ready to join the side of the light. A moment of silence and awe lingers over the battle when she starts to dance – at first only slowly but as her movements gain momentum, she transforms into a twirling trail of light as her fans paint through the air. With the sureness of a sleepwalker every flowing motion strikes down an enemy.
Rekindled by a new-found courage the army of light launches a counterattack. With new hope they succeed in pushing back the dark legion – but will that be enough to end the battle?

ORIGINAL FIRST POST:
Hey everyone,
a few days ago a friend linked me that art challenge and I loved the theme that much I decided to participate ^-^
Actually I always choose the dark side so in this case it will be light. My first thought was about a chinese character inspired by the geishas (yes I know, that geishas are japanese^^) and the first thought is mostly the best so this is my basic sketch of ChangXi.
She is a champion of the light who uses her Qi-energy to form weapons to defeat her enemies. Her favorite one of course is a fan and her combat style looks more like a dance than a fighting technique.
