OK these are coming along nice I think. Makes me happy seeing them looking kinda like I imaged. Gonna thumbnail some illustration comps and base color the one above and see if I can give this character the right feel.

Man, you really work a lot on this! I have to admit, I think I liked the four-armed beefy gut with the weird aureole better The girl is somewhat more regular. But now you've done so much work on her. I'd like to wish for more clothes. or magical armor at least. Love the big weapon though. Looking forward to where this goes!

it's actually something I noticed once I added color and more when I started playing around with compositions. so there will be some form/ some amount of "magical armor" to cover her up a touch more, along with a few other design changes/additions.

as for working a lot I really just do what I can when I can xD, the last week or so I've had quite a bit of time off so I spent it mostly on this to make up for that 21(or so) day dry spell without me posting or working.

you have such amazing thumbnails!!! my favourite are 1, 7 and 8. I feel they get your mage's attitude and intentions quite on point!! I can't wait to see your final artwork!

OK going off the feedback I got from twitter, here and a few art discord servers I'm in, there were 3 thumbnails that got equal votes, so I'll push all 3 a bit further and see which one y'all like.
Revisions are still underway for the base character but those I'll share in a little bit (maybe tomorrow )

A friend of mine said she wasn't liking the feathers on the coat above. Now I'm not opposed to changing things but wanted to hear first how most people perceive it. Do they add, detract or do nothing to aid the design?

ok decided to scrap number 8. wasn't really liking the design and didn't want to spend the next 20 days trying to make a design I don't like work, but as usual please tell me which of the 2 you like and help me push this to final. That said, I did some edits to the cloak looking at the feedback I got from a few close friends. hope yall like the new look.

disclaimer: there isn't much separation between the jacket and the fur at the back at the moment, i will add more definition into these areas in the coming days or weeks depending on how fast I see progress on the illustration.

Same thing is happening to me as well. Nice comp so far, I can't give you much feedback at this stage but make sure the background reads good ( I'm sure you'll do it anyway) and you can also try adding some magic particles around her hand which controls the magic hands/ swords around her ( be careful not to overdo it because that area on the canvas can feel too crowded)

Got hit quite hard by the flu this week but it's cleared up a lot this week. Anyway I'm not an excuse man but this is what I've got at the moment. Will come in over the weekend and tweak it to fix some things that are bugging me. Then all that's left is to finish the foreground and background and we good
