First time participating ! i'm a bit intimidated but i'll still try and do my best !

I don't have much for now, but here's the general idea i wanted, before digging deeper into details.

At first my idea was a light atronach / elemental or a goddess like character. The outfit and accessories aren't fully thought yet, but the general idea is for her to have something that'd make her grand and intimidating.

When making my color researches, i ended up with this color scheme that changed my vision and gave me new ideas.
The new idea was that she'd be the personification of the dawn, morning light, kind of the birth of light.

Really love the design and colors! If you want her to seem more grand and intimidating, tilting her head and chest up a bit usually helps to convey that. Also, in the final illustration, a shot with the camera at a lower position and looking up to her generally helps I also think that if you want to add some more pop to the design, adding in some areas of darker color and/or less saturated color to certain areas of her design will help. Figuring out some poses and what could fit her the best, while also showing her design as much as possible, even if i explore a bit further to get some more ideas

Wow, this is so cool! I feel like I should say more, but everything about this looks really nice. I think as for poses I kind of like the first and the second one! I can't wait to see more

Here's a few more sketches focusing on her collar thingie . I drew the idea i had from the beginning in a more detailed way to get used to it but also to make it more logical. I also searched for different shapes but it drifted really quickly to things that looked too maleficient, not really fitting a light character. the first one is sun shaped which reminds her theme aswell, but i might dig deeper into that idea once i'll sketch the fullbody outfit

The sunshaped one works better, and like you said it can easily look evil with other shapes

and i searched around more for her hairstyle ! i wanted to keep it the way it was from the beginning but sketching the sidehair one, in fact i like it better ! i added a crown but now, i'm not sure if i should keep the lace over her eyes or not, i don't want it to be too much details

The lace is really cool, maybe it'll be too much i don't know i like it. I think try to see if in the final image it looks good or not and then you'll know

I for one like the lace. In general I usually don't like things covering the face so we can see it clearly, but here it adds to the Venice Carnival feeling of the costume. Also, it feels like it ties in with the light theme. It makes me wonder if her flames or her ability is so intense that even she has to shield her eyes from the light.
As for hairstyles, I personally am not a big fan of the perfectly straight one. It makes her look younger - more like a girl than a woman - and the wavy ones have a lot more energy to them.
Great development so far, good luck with the rest!

Hey guys ! here's an update on the illustration !

I'm sorry i'm so quiet and slow but i really am giving all of my energy and efforts for this so it's taking me a lot of time to come up with anything !

I removed the lace on her face cause i think it was too much and as many times as i tried i couldn't find something satisfying , i prefer her face like this ! and since I detailed more the design of her collar thingie, i don't want too much details !
