So far I wanted to go without wings but that might be something to try out. She's more of a fairy like guardian than a real fairy (:

Great decision to play around with the last two shapes. In my opinion they are well readable. And I like how you adapt the shield values for the character design and make it similar to each other. Is she fighting with the shield?

When you design the shield try to think if it can transform, or can divide in multiple shields. Also both shearing little details will help you a lot!

@frankenstejin Yeah she uses this big shield as some sort of weapon whilst floating

Here are some updates , I started refining the sketch a bit and played around with some colors but rn I am struggling so much with this kinda creature that is being hit by her shield

Any tips or feedback are highly appreciated

I love your character pose. Personally, I think it would be nice to see more of the shield.

You could try to "blockout" the illustration in black and white only, to make a readable compositon at first and then working with colors. Sometimes it's helpful to work with thumbnails to nail the final composition before starting with details. And most important, find out where your main focus is and take your time to make it well ^^

I started with the detailing on my character and the shield, which one do you guys prefer? Maybe there are some things that I could combine or still change something on her to fit the shield better

I like the original shield, number 1 or 2 most. To make a connection between character and shield you can use similar elements for the armor. Is she move the shield with magic power? Maybe she has some kind of powerful gloves to controll the shield. (I can image the gloves are much bigger than normal gloves)

Uh it's kinda been a while but I've been struggling a lot to find a good composition that I liked while it is still doable for my current skill level but I think I finally got there

And I got around to clean my concept and started a backview which is still not working yet.
Any feedback is highly appreciated tho as I really have to hurry now to finish, whoops
