Wow you got some great ideas already! Will you be joining the Light or Dark side?

Got stuck with the "anything goes" brief for this, but think I have narrowed it down to something I like.
So am going for a sort of enchanted arm, full of holy or unholy power. For the base character I wanted to go for some kind of world war / dieselpunk kind of thing, but I'm thinking about adding some garish colour scheme to the soldier theme to make it a bit different.
Here is a character design I did for a character challenge a while ago, I'm thinking about following the same sort of theme.

@evehartman Leaning towards light, but it could still go either way. My illustration piece will hopefully be good verses evil, so I will be designing both light and dark versions, and will decide later which will be more prominent in the final image as they fight. (And which one is getting beaten up, etc)

The angel idea is awsome! That golden weapon could be an upgreade version of the weapon she has! you can play a lot with the design

Updates for light and dark versions.
Still undecided as to whether to go with natural earthy tones or lurid colours. Please tell me what you think, critiques welcome.

Looks great so far! I think that the more lurid colors would be nice for the light side, especially combined with a more eccentric/cutesy/innocent personality. The main thing I feel missing from your design is that I don’t really feel a “light” personality coming from your light characters as much as I feel the “dark” coming from your dark characters. That being said, I also really like the left design on the dark side, although I don’t think the pink pants fit in too well with the rest of the design; pink just resonates as more of a cute or bright color, even if it is the lighter version of red. I would suggest to maybe try a dark brown, purple or green. Hope that helps!

@mystarryspace Thanks for the comments. I did the above before I read your advice.
I am trying to add more cutesy touches to the light side, but I see your point. I was hoping the big summoned monster would be enough to fulfil the "light" aspect, but I really should add some of that onto the human element too.
The metal t shirts might be luring a few of these designs to the dark side on second thoughts.

Okay, final design then. Colours pending.
Owing to some comments earlier, I have grounded my character in the 'light' brief by having her summon the weird spirit thing from a lantern.

Colour scheme. She had too many stripes on her, so cut out the undershirt.

Also darkness version. They will be battling in my illustration, so I have to design the dark side too...

In a masochistic and perhaps misguided decision to stand out somewhat amongst all the other great entries I have decided to use traditional media. Whether my illustration piece will be in acrylics too will wholly depend on the state of my sanity after finishing the character sheet.

love all the designs! The illustration the more detailed ones are lack dynamic, from the rough sketchs like D option the most in terms of dynamic, but it’s a bit confusing, do more! rock on!
