I decided to make this a night scene so I can use contrast by making the crystals on Ludwik glow. I made a quick background to choose my shadow colors (still trying different colors), I will light up my piece later.

The composition and colors are looking good. I would suggest that his right leg should be forward instead of his left. It seems a bit unnatural for the same arm and leg to be forward, there's usually a twist in the body that causes them to be opposite.

Usually that might be true but this guy right here looks like he could jump over a person who's standing still, and with that "air time" he could do combos where he can strike with a fist first and then land an axe. Thanks for your suggestion though, I'll try to play with that to see if there is a better option

Niice. Love me some crystal people. Looking forward to seeing the final Btw, you might want to adjust the composition slightly though. Right now everything kind of leads you out of frame to the right. Maybe if their head was flipped so they were looking left it would flow better, or you could move them over and add some sort of foreground or background element that leads the eye back in such as pointed weapon, a person's head, or more spiky crystals in the background.

I saw this tutorial a long time ago, thanks for bringing that up . I didn't started to render anything yet because I'm trying to figure out how to paint a crystal which is a light source but this will help for the crystals in the background for sure
