@rgdraw I thought about a disco floor and/or stained glass windows but it feels like too much color might take too much focus away from the characters? But I can easily throw in a colorful floor and see how I like it. Good point about the foreground angel (although there is another light source off screen to the left and up, it's not just the flashlights!)
@kimsokol, I'm definitely planning on taking another pass at the mirror-ball armor. What you see there is a rough color pass and my construction lines. But I don't want to finish that off until I have a more final background for the balls to reflect. And yeah, I think I overdid it on that boom box, in fact!
@tbrk, Thanks! My goal for the background is more classical, to complement the angels. (If I went with a straight up disco lunge, everyone would be like "what are those angels there for? They don't make any sense!" At least they do more in a classical setting...) So vaulted archways, columns, etcetera.
