He is kept calm by the zeolots with special incense. Once the effect fades away he sees even them as "collectables".

So, here are a few composition/mood ideas I had for the illustration. While doing them I realized the giant could be waaay more impressing if I am going to make him a lot taller. On the one hand he's going to look more dangerous and intimidating, on the other hand a lot of the fine detail will be lost.
That's why I am still not 100 % sure which one of them I am going to work with.

All your comps look fairly similar. Maybe explore some different compositions. I think 2 would look really cool at a lower, worm's eye angle.

I like no.4 illustration. It show the contrast of how big is the back character compared to the front one. And it fits good in the page.

Thanks guys for the helpful input! I'm going to use the second composition. It has the most potential especially when it comes to atmosphere.
Here is the line sketch I did adding the needed details and fixed the flawed perspective. I'm sure there are still a few mistakes but I'm going to weed them out in the painting process.
