@angiekatneko Thank you! Haha, not a real gun, I'm thinking something like a Nerf gun! I'm looking around the basement for household objects that are more cute than dangerous, and Nerf guns definitely fit the bill! I'm thinking of adding some other beanie babies in the background doing their part (stuffed rabbit & sock monkey!), so perhaps they can have whatever gear Wilbur isn't using.
@snakebearer I appreciate that! I feel like so many ideas have been explored by someone before, so its up to us as the artists to bring in our own touch! Wilbur will actually be fighting a tangible army of monsters, but I haven't quite figured out what they will be like. Wilbur's child loves planes and flying (establishing this with the little pilot hat/goggles Wilbur is wearing, and maybe clouds on the wallpaper), so I'm thinking the monsters should be something to contrast with that. Maybe claws reaching out, like zombies from the grave, or creatures relating to the ocean would work, as they would invoke the feeling of holding you down (opposite of flight?). Haha, just having a brain-dump here!
