This was fun, but it's time to wrap it up. Here's my final entry for this challenge.
EDIT: After the deadline extension, I decided to spend a bit more time on the presentation image. I modeled some simple environment and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3.

In addition to the Marmoset Viewer, I decided to add a "detail sheet" to my submission.

So I have gathered some inspirational images that will help me as a guide as far as shapes and flow that I'm going for. All my concepts will be done directly in 3D as I continue to develop the character.

I have modified a basemesh of a female model to proportion that I like and will be detailing in further.

Added some details to the body. Even though lots of the body parts will be covered with clothes later on, I wanted to make sure that I had a solid model, so that later I don't need to compromise with the clothing designs.

Did some hairstyle design test. Going for number 5 (top bun no bangs). Will start laying haircards next.

Finished laying cards for the hair. Some minor tweaks will be necessary, but for now I'm quite satisfied with the result.

Some progress with the textures. Here's a quick turnaround...

Will start working on clothing now and concepting the main features of the character. I want to go for something rather realistic and sci-fi but not into distant future. Her character is some sort of medic who uses most current technology for the time to attend to the patients. In the backpack she carries all the necessary first aid tools and the mechanical arms are the to assist with things like injections, holding objects, flashlight, etc. Here's a very fast rough concept. The heels on the footwear may need to go as she's supposed to be very mobile. Any ideas are welcome.

Did some work on her costume in MD and a quick paintover of what's to come.

Here is some progress on the mechanic arm. Did some basic design and tested if it's structualy sound. Moving on to the backpack next.

Putting in some work on the harness...
I've been using "Duplicate Special" for a while now, but simply for the mirror function. Today I figured out that it's also useful for working on such things as the spine links or any other repeating pattern where links have to fit in each other.

Calling highpoly backpack done. Will detail it further with normal maps and textures. Lots of cleanup for the lowpoly model. Moving on to footwear for now.

So this is the boot that I came up with. The idea was to still try to keep the heel slightly elevated while still having a somewhat comfortable footwear while running around.
