Hello everyone!

So first time for me to join a cubebrush challenge. To be honest I don't know if I will have enough time to completely finish what I am starting here, since I am also working on my graduation project. However, I will give it my best and try to get as close to the finish as possible.

The idea I will try and explore is the grey zone in this white vs dark area. The one who walks in the dusky time of the day. She is a trumpcard to either the light or the dark, which side she will aid, she will be the last who will know..

Alrighty, let's do an update for this little project. The first image shows my sketches and ideas for the character. I found it harder than I had expected to come up with a half and half design. If I managed it in the end, thats up for you guys to decide I suppose.
In the end I went with the most center design of the drawings. Due to time limits, I decided to go on an start sculpting the model and experiment with the shapes still while sculpting.

Final shapes are settled now, going on to some more details.

I am looking forward to some feedback if you guys are willing to give me some!

Hey omg another update! Working in that slugmode, hoping to get some good progress on this soon though.
So only added some minor details here and there. I decided that she should be made out of marble or some other kind of stone material. Broken though she may seem, she still has some tricks up her sleeve or hair in this case.

The hair allows her to still control her broken limbs but also causes corruption in her pure marble body.

So yeah, next up I will be doing a quick retop of her and start playing with the hair. I will probably end up making a handpainted texture for her and with that in mind I will keep her hair simple as well. We will see what happens next update!!

Really nice and interesting design ! I don't know if you made it on purpose but aren't her boobs falling a little too much ? I can't wait to see the hair done, looks like a lot of work

hey thanks, yeah you might be right about her boobs. I will take another look at them and see if I can make them a little more perky haha. Thanks for the feedback though!

Ah now I can see the pictures - CubeBrush has been having some troubles with Chrome I think so it might have just been my browser?

I'm reading Neil Gaiman's Sandman right now and I feel like she would fit into that world seamlessly Looking really cool!

Hello friends!!
Yes again, my upload dedication has stagnated. Most humble apologies for that.
Alright back to the topic of the character and it's progress. The retop has been made and texturing has been started. I made a quick rig for her to be able to pose her nicely as well and have started on creating some interesting hair curves.

Texturing still has some way to go for sure but I am confident that I will be able to finish this babe before it's due ahah

As for her hair, again, needs some more lovin. Getting to that next ( I promise )

So yeah, small update, slight progress. Still enjoy spending some time on her besides my graduation project haha

Hey there peeps,

Last and final update already. My this challenge has gone by quickly.
The last things I have been doing was adding a hair pin to the model and some very fashionable nails. Multifunctional items they are, as not only do they match her hair piece, they also provide her with some useful, sharp tools.

I have enjoyed working on this character very much and I am kind of sad that I did not have as much time for this project as I would have liked. But the ride was fun and I can't wait to get to work on another soon!!

Hey thanks for the enthousiasm. I appriciate it very much! I kind of made a mistake in thinking when the deadline was. So yeah I will make sure there will be better Renders and better angles!

I like both directions that you're thinking about. The limb connections stemming from the hair is a really interesting concept that I've enjoyed watching you develop in 3d.

I would say that the fingernails/ claws feel like they're just sitting on the ends of the fingers and it makes for a bit of an awkward transition in my opinion. I think if you added some sort of decoration where they meet the finger with similar ornamentation to her headpiece it would really tie both elements together and make the nails feel more significant.

Overall I really like this project and am eager to see what direction you take it in!

This is such a cool and interesting design! I love it so much. Is there a way to incorporate both options in together, those intricate organic shapes from #1 with some kind of particle effect or something... intertwining?

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I agree, the claws look a little odd. I can definitly try and make it a smoother transition and play around with adding some more jewelery aspects. I do feel like I will go with the hair concept some more .
