Just got in and I hope there's still time! Here's the story of my entry for the Worlds design challenge - BARREN LANDS
~ In a not too distant future, A large asteroid hit the Earth's moon - sending debris towards Earth and destroying life as we know it (or did it?) - yet life persevered. The impact created a "ringed debris" around Earth (similar to Saturn). Without the Moon, lunar gravitation is affected thus causing the tides to be calm in certain parts of the earth while it bulges somewhere else. Along with lunar debris crashing to earth, asteroid fragments are also scattered around the globe. With less food and resources, these lunar and asteroid debris are now the source of the human civilizations future - water,income, power (anyone who monopolizes these minerals/debris are now powerful than ever). This project is also inspired from the mood/idea/environment from the movies Cloud Atlas and Mad Max -- where the human race struggles for survival and human knowledge is degrading that may lead for us to be savages.
